Hi, I’m Shan, the Owner and Photographer at Captured Photography and Design. With a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember, photography is not just a career for me—it’s my passion and my purpose. I’ve built a life that perfectly blends my two greatest loves: travel and photography, and I’m honored to spend my days capturing the happiest moments in people’s lives. Honestly, it doesn’t get any better than this!
I’m also incredibly proud to have been recognized as one of Australia’s Top 10 Wedding Photographers, alongside being a multiple #1 Wedding Industry Award-winner in Gippsland and Phillip Island. It’s an honor to be celebrated for doing what I love most—telling love stories through timeless, candid images.
Based in Gippsland, VIC, I’ve been lucky enough to travel Australia-wide, documenting love stories from Darwin to Tasmania, Broome to Brisbane, and everywhere in between. Whether it’s a luxe coastal affair, an intimate backyard wedding, or a grand celebration, I bring the same enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to every couple I work with. I’m equally at home by the coast (where I live beachside!) as I am in the countryside, and I’m always chasing that beautiful natural light and those authentic, unplanned moments.
Family is everything to me, and I cherish the connections I build with my couples and their loved ones. By the end of the day, I often feel like part of the family—because, for me, it’s about more than the photos. It’s about bringing love, great energy, and joy to your day. My couples often say that my excitement, positivity, and attention to the little details, are what set me apart.
